let's not talk about what happened before, the exams and stuff, it's boring.

So.
I had 19 days off before the 12th May, when I officially start my practical for the next 5 months.

Here's what kept me busy...

I turned 22 on 26th April

I celebrated 3 times with three different groups of people. Surprise parties, surprisingly never stop after highschool.

Party 1: Uni mates.

It was supposed to be an after exam celebration with my friends, a day packed with food and ice skating, until Peter and Elisha disappeared for long time during lunch...

Party 2: Sunday Morning, My family



Every year, I would request for this particular yam cake, mom says it's the hardest cake for her to do because it requires much effort. Mind you, my mother is an expert in baking, so when she says it's hard, it's hard. nevertheless, it comes only once a year, and this yam cake is always TO DIE FOR. Mother, thank you. I love you.

I think what was cool was that Mom, Dad and Ce sang the birthday song for me. Thanks everyone.

Uncle Nie gave her flowers. so sweet.


And we all prayed for her, God willing, more kids, grandkids fast, just as she wishes, and great grandkids. hahah.

Cupcakes Attempt!

Since mom was not around on Friday night, I decided that I should try to see what it's like to live her life, by baking.

I decided to surprise her and make her and grandma some cupcakes for mother's day.


Here's me, all dressed up to bake. And I mixed and match all the necessary ingredients, put it into the cups.



little did I know, cupcakes expands!! and it went over the brink of the cup!





After a few modification - cutting the edge out nice and steady, it actually didn't turn out looking so bad. It's going to be covered with frost anyway.


This is the second batch I made. I clearly learnt my lesson.

Clening up wasn't easy especially when it's all buttery and oily. I washed, and washed, and thought it never ends.

I know I looked happy, and contented. It's for the camera.



Alas! my cupcakes! All ready with frost!
Ahh it was well worth. Every effort.

Baking, is therapeutic. you should try baking when you're stressed or in the middle of your exams.
